Child Sponsorship Program
The 6:8 Ministries Child Sponsorship Program is an educational initiative designed to help ensure children of low income families are given the opportunity to receive a quality education and a positive school experience.
The public school system in Costa Rica is free to all children, however each child is required to wear a specific uniform, and school supplies. These items can be expensive and create a financial hardship on local families. Therefore, we are working toward finding a sponsor for every child in the program Sponsors will agree to help these children through their financial giving, love, encouragement and prayers.
The cost to sponsor a child is $225 and each sponsored child will receive everything necessary to attend and thrive in the local school system. This includes two complete school uniforms, a backpack full of required supplies. The funds will also go towards special events 2 times a year for the children in the program. As a sponsor you will receive a digital photos of your child, academic progress of your sponsored child, also a digital copy of a handwritten thank you note and opportunities to visit your sponsored child. We are going to try to do as much as possible digitally through email so that is how you will be receiving your Photos.
